Department Overview 

 

TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge and experience in six key areas of finance: Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Institutional Equities, Private Equity, Precious Metals and Foreign Exchange & Money Market. Our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs. 

 

Position Overview – IT Support Analyst 

This role is primarily responsible for providing RTB support for Banking Operations technology applications in a 24x7 follow the sun global support environment. 

Role and Responsibilities 
  • Provide high quality application and user support to ensure IT systems availability, reliability, and performance that support business processes globally 

  • Perform proactive application health checks to prevent potential failures 

  • Manage the Incident through to completion. Engage various IT teams in resolving incidents efficiently and effectively. 

  • Perform effective problem management on recurring incidents. Lead and manage problems throughout the lifecycle. 

  • Ensure problem resolutions are released in production on-time and with high quality. 

  • Ensure all changes to the Production Environment follow the TD Securities Change management process. 

  • Ensure change activities are performed on time, minimizing risk to the service/business environment 

  • Proactively review IT environment to ensure that steps are taken to support new IT related regulations and address gaps in the procedure 

  • Perform scheduled activities such as DR testing, user attestations, remediation of control audit, etc. 

  • Update knowledge-based articles on timely manner and conduct trainings across regions. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Client(s), Relationship Managers and Project Managers. 

  • Work effectively as a team, supporting other team members in achieving project/ business objectives and providing client services. 

  • Support a positive work environment that promotes customer service, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. 

  • Provide after- hours support if required 

 

 Job Requirements 
Specific Educational Requirements: 
  • Experience in Banking Operations technologies and operations related to Compliance and Surveillance  

  • Practical working experience in multi-tier applications support. 

  • Practical experience of support both Physical, and VMware environments 

  • Understanding of financial markets and products. 

  • Must have experience working with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure support teams. 

  • Experience in scripting, automation and process improvement 

  • Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management 

  • Working experience with the technologies like Linux RH, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL, Python and Java. 

  • Experience in usage and configuration of monitoring tools. Eg: Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, ITRS Geneos. 

  • Experience in release/deployment both manual deployment and using CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GITHub 

  • Good understanding of Azure Cloud environment  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate a concise, focused and audience-targeted message (communication efficiency) an absolute must.
