WHO WE ARE
We are PEAK6, a leading investment firm. You'll find us headquartered in the historic Chicago Board of Trade building. PEAK6 uses technology to find a better way of doing things. The company's first tech-based solution was developed in 1997 to optimize options trading, and over the past two decades, the same formula has been used across a range of industries, asset classes, and business stages to consistently deliver superior results. Today, PEAK6 seeks transformational opportunities to provide capital and strategic support to entrepreneurs and forward-thinking businesses. PEAK6's core brands include PEAK6 Capital Management, PEAK6 Strategic Capital, Apex Fintech Solutions, PEAK6 InsurTech, Evil Geniuses, Poker Power, and Zogo.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Shared Technology builds state-of-the-art people-centric solutions that transform and accelerate the PEAK6 portfolio. We operate important technology systems efficiently and securely while providing reliable products, services and data-driven analytics. We deliver a unified technology experience throughout the PEAK6 portfolio tailored where necessary to fit each business.
As an IT Platform Engineer within Shared Technology, you will be instrumental in the experience of all our employees throughout the PEAK6 portfolio. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, is resourceful in their problem-solving skills and is able to think creatively. Our IT Platform Engineers require a breadth of technical skills - administration, analysis, deployment - are just some of the areas you will be focused on. This team is tasked with maintaining our SaaS platforms to solve unique problems for the firm. You will take on projects that will require clear communication and completion in a timely manner. Shared Technology is looking for people who have compassion and empathy for their teammates and a natural IT intuition who can work harder, faster and smarter while taking technical excellence to a whole new level.
This is a hybrid role which can be based out of PEAK6's Chicago, IL or Austin, TX offices. Hybrid at PEAK6 means an average of 3 days in office per week with 2 flexible work from home days per week.
You'll be responsible for:

  • Manage and implement great experiences using our SaaS and cloud platforms.
  • Assist with implementation of integrations between critical technology solutions into our SaaS offering.
  • Perform technical audits and assist with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • In collaboration with team members and leadership, implement great support processes, procedures, and documentation.

  • Deploy custom technology to interconnect data throughout the firm.
  • Manage SaaS integrations through industry-standard best practices.
  • Manage, support, and provision business applications in a cloud-based environment.

You'll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting integrations of SaaS products.
  • Experience with Powershell and Python.
  • Experience utilizing APIs to integrate custom solutions from SaaS offerings.
  • Experience with Cloud compute platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Experience with administering productivity services such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with managing Okta and directories such as Active Directory.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience with Video Conferencing solutions such as Zoom.
