IT Solution Engineer – Connectivity & Infrastructure Delivery

What you’ll do 

As an IT Solution Engineer within our Strategy and Architecture team, you’ll play a key role delivering enterprise connectivity and infrastructure initiatives across Aurecon’s regional business. 

Working closely with Solutions Architects, project teams and operational support teams, you’ll help implement and deliver a variety of infrastructure solutions that include office relocations, new project and JV office setups, enterprise software deployments, security initiatives and network modernisation programs across the organisation. 

This role is ideal for someone looking to step beyond operational support and into a more project-focused engineering environment, where you’ll gain exposure to architecture, strategic initiatives and enterprise-scale delivery. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Work alongside Solution Architects to implement enterprise connectivity and infrastructure designs across the business 

  • Deliver technical solutions relating to office relocations, new office stand-ups, project environments and infrastructure deployments 

  • Support security and network modernisation initiatives across Aurecon’s enterprise environment 

  • Configure and deploy enterprise networking technologies including Cisco wireless, routing and switching platforms 

  • Contribute to infrastructure uplift and transformation projects across ANZ and Asia 

  • Partner with operational support teams to support transition and continuity of services where required 

  • Assist with technical troubleshooting, outage response and deployment activities across business-critical environments 

  • Contribute to High-Level Designs (HLDs), Detailed Level Designs (DLDs) and technical documentation 

  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders including office leaders, project teams and business representatives 

  • Translate technical concepts into practical and understandable outcomes for stakeholders across the business 

  • Support knowledge transfer and transition activities into operational support teams 

 

What you’ll bring  

  • Approximately 5+ years’ experience within enterprise networking, infrastructure or connectivity engineering environments  

  • Experience working within corporate, enterprise or managed services environments  

  • Strong experience across Cisco networking technologies including routing, switching and wireless environments  

  •  Exposure to enterprise networking and security technologies such as Cisco ISE, wireless controllers, Meraki or network segmentation technologies  

  •  Experience supporting infrastructure projects, deployments or enterprise technology rollouts  

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical capability  

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders  

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments  

  • Strong documentation capability and attention to detail  

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly regarded
