The Monitoring Engineering team is responsible for architecting, deploying, and supporting enterprise monitoring and log management solutions across hybrid environments. These solutions span proprietary platforms as well as industry-leading observability, visualization, and real-time analytics tools.
As an IT Solution Engineer I, you will configure and optimize monitoring systems to ensure infrastructure and applications meet defined service-level agreements (SLAs) and security standards. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Development, and Service teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deploy, and maintain monitoring and log management solutions
- Configure monitoring tools for high availability across applications, servers, databases, and network components
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define and fine-tune alert thresholds and monitoring strategies
- Support incident management by analyzing alerts, validating monitoring accuracy, and improving detection mechanisms
- Develop scripts (Python, Bash) for automation, integrations, and system enhancements
- Research, evaluate, and integrate third-party tools (cloud, databases, container platforms)
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations for operational insights
- Analyze large datasets and logs to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential risks
- Document system configurations, processes, and best practices for monitoring solutions
- Troubleshoot issues using log analysis, system metrics, and network tracing techniques

- Understanding of networking fundamentals and security concepts
- Exposure to Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Helix
- Understanding of Incident and Change Management processes (ITIL)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging, APM platforms)
- Exposure to automation and DevOps practices
- Industry certifications (AWS, CompTIA, Cisco, ITIL)
