IT Resource Planning Lead

About the Role

Want to help drive efficient and effective IT project resource management? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Resource Planning Lead to oversee digital resource demand planning, allocation and optimisation across our IT projects and initiatives. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Partnering with IT Leads, project managers and portfolio leads to forecast resource needs based on project pipeline and business priorities. 
• Maintain an enterprise-wide view of resource supply vs. demand across IT functions. 
•  Identify skills gaps and future resourcing requirements, recommending hiring, contracting, or training solutions. 
•  Assign resources to projects based on skills, availability, and business priorities. 
• Balance competing demands across multiple projects to optimise utilisation and reduce bottlenecks. 
• Support project managers in resolving resourcing conflicts and priority calls management  
• Maintain flexibility to reallocate resources as priorities shift. 

What we are looking for 

You’ll ideally bring 2+ years’ experience in IT resource or workforce management, project/portfolio management and a strong understanding of the IT project lifecycle and methodologies. Your analytical, reporting, governance support and financial tracking skills will help enable the team to maintain visibility and accuracy across Digital resourcing requirements.  

In addition, as the Resource Planning Lead, you will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
