The Role
Manage multiple technical projects from initiation through completion, coordinating engineers, vendors, clients, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and scope. The role requires clear stakeholder communication, project documentation, PMO process adherence, commercial awareness, and delivery across distributed US and international teams while working US business hours from Manila.
Summary Generated by Built In

If you can look at a complex technology project, make sense of the moving parts, get the right people in the room and somehow keep everyone pointed in the same direction, we should probably talk.

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager based in Manila to support US-based technology projects while working US business hours.

This is a senior project management role focused on infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and enterprise technology initiatives. You'll coordinate technical teams, stakeholders and vendors, keep projects moving and help deliver technology improvements that have a real impact on the business.

And yes, this is US hours from Manila. We'd rather be upfront about that than sneak it into the last paragraph and hope nobody notices.

A little about Us

We're Australia's #1 MSP (Cloud Tango, 9 years running), with over 500 staff across 4 countries. This role supports our parent company's operations in the US, giving you the opportunity to work closely with US-based teams and stakeholders on meaningful technology projects.

We're a business built around capable people, technical excellence and continuous improvement. We like people who take ownership, communicate openly and can keep things moving without creating unnecessary complexity.

One of our values that fits this role particularly well is Be the Solution. We want people who don't just identify the problem, but take ownership of getting to a practical outcome.

Requirements

What you'll be doing

You'll lead multiple technology projects from initiation through to completion, with a focus on infrastructure, cloud, security and operations.

Your work will include:

  • Leading enterprise infrastructure and technology projects from planning through to delivery
  • Developing project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and risk strategies
  • Coordinating projects across cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, endpoint management and enterprise technology
  • Managing infrastructure modernisation initiatives such as cloud migrations, operating system upgrades, hardware refreshes and virtualisation projects
  • Leading multiple concurrent projects in a fast-moving environment
  • Coordinating security initiatives including identity and access management, MFA deployments, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening
  • Supporting network initiatives such as firewall upgrades, wireless expansion and network optimisation
  • Managing project governance, change management and delivery processes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and leadership
  • Providing clear project updates, status reporting and executive communication
  • Managing vendors, statements of work, implementation activities, timelines and service levels
  • Monitoring project budgets, forecasts, resource utilisation, timelines and risks
  • Keeping projects aligned with business objectives and operational requirements
  • Conducting project reviews and helping improve how future projects are delivered

In other words, you'll be the person helping turn "we should probably modernise that" into an actual plan, delivery timeline and finished outcome.

What we're looking for

This is not an entry-level project coordination role. We're looking for someone who has been around the technical project block a few times and is comfortable leading complex initiatives.

You'll ideally have:

  • 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity or enterprise technology projects
  • A proven track record delivering multiple technology projects concurrently
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, cybersecurity, endpoint management and IT operations
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder communications
  • Strong project planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Monday.com, or a comparable tool
  • The ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors and senior leaders
  • Comfort working US business hours on an ongoing basis from Manila

Nice to have

It would be great if you also have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field
  • PMP, CAPM, ITIL or equivalent certification
  • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2 or PCI DSS
  • Experience with Cisco networking, SD-WAN or hybrid cloud environments

You don't need every qualification listed above. We're much more interested in whether you can actually lead a complicated technology project than whether your LinkedIn profile has collected every acronym available.
