IT Project Manager

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for an IT Project Manager for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities

▪ Leads the planning, implementation, tracking, budget, and communication surrounding projects
▪ Oversees all aspects of the project life cycle, ensuring that all elements of the project are properly coordinated including the project charter, project management plan, managing project
work, performing integrated change control, and closing the project
▪ Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals/milestones, and deliverables
▪ Develops project plans by defining project tasks and resource requirements
▪ Assembles and coordinates project staff
▪ Manages project budget and understands the components of running a fiscally successful project
▪ Manages project resource allocation
▪ Develops, manages, and controls the project schedule to ensure timely completion of the project
▪ Coordinates project processes, including:
▪ Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
▪ Communicates and applies project standards
▪ Manages resources in accordance with project schedule
▪ Consistently delivers high-quality services following the two-customer philosophy
▪ Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools, including creating and updating document libraries and lists used for tracking project and process related documents withing
▪ Identifies the people, groups, or organizations that should impact or be impacted by the project, analyzes their expectations and impact, and develops appropriate management
strategies for engaging stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
▪ Constantly monitors and reports on progress of the projection to all stakeholders
▪ Presents reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
▪ Implements and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
▪ Completes project evaluations and assessment of results based on project objectives
▪ Assists in identifying continuous improvement opportunities that are consistent with company strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a business-related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years project management experience or PMI certification (PMI-PMP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Dynamics software
• Experience in Agile Methodologies

This position is on-site, Monday through Friday, and you must currently be living in Ohio to be considered for the role.
