Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Project Manager Lead to assist in the direction and management of program’s executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience in working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team. 

The Project Manager Lead functions and responsibilities include elements such as: responsible for the overall direction, management, finance, communication, coordination of deliverables, and accountability of project oriented work efforts and success of their projects across the IT organization; create scope documents based on approved charters and project plans (work breakdown structures); track key milestones and adjust project plans, budget requests and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Program Manager, having second-tier responsibility for overseeing technical project management provided to client with regard to respective program
  • Must be able to work across the full spectrum of the acquisition lifecycle from opportunity capture to services delivery
  • Providing Project Management support, to include developing and maintaining integrated master schedules, creating and submitting program related documentation, preparing briefings, providing full conference/meeting support, and preparing senior level strategic briefings and metrics as required by the Government
  • Supporting all aspects of the development and implementation of IT services projects
  • Ensuring the completion and integration of multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Developing service descriptions and project requirements documentation, CONOPs and other documents to support preparation for review boards as required to ensure service delivery and operational support
  • Providing analysis and recommendations in support of the resolution of IT-related problems; executing the recommendations as directed by the client.
  • Coordinating the development and review of documents related to technical project efforts.
  • Providing Senior-level strategic communications support, to include policy, process and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) review and development
  • Aiding in the coordination of activities and documents to ensure alignment with plans and directives for delivery of IT solutions across the DOD Enterprise
  • Primary customer point of contact as the lead for the project with respect to providing IT services and working within a complex network environment
  • Overall daily responsibility for the delivery of all work products and services on this program, to include technical artifacts, reports, presentations and briefings to the client
  • Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning and project team
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions
  • Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
  • Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Ensures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, project team and clients
  • Ensures production schedules are met or exceeded
  • Ensures engineering & technical resources are used effectively and appropriately.
  • Coordinate’s resolution of deliverable-related problems
  • Ensures proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services and deliverables
  • Prioritize efforts to ensure successful client outcome
  • Uses strong planning and organizational skills to ensure timely completion of all milestones and efforts with minimal client disruption
  • Provides proactive and responsive customer focused leadership, reaching back to corporate resources to mitigate risks and resolve any issues that may arise

Qualifications/Experience:

  • At least 3 years relevant Project Management experience across the entire project life cycle
  • Experience working with DoD is desired but not required
  • Related industry experience in information technology or engineering
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Excel and Project
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Minimum SECRET clearance required

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required
  • Degree in business, engineering, computer science, or information technology management or technical discipline is desired 
  • PMP is required
