We are looking for an experienced IT Program Manager to lead a mission essential enterprise engineering program. This program provides full system lifecycle engineering support that includes software development, security, communications, release management, and end-user support at the enterprise level for a USG customer.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The right candidate will have a minimum of 11 years' experience, PMP certified, and a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:
IT Program Manager will:

  • Serve as primary point of contract for the sponsor on all program related activities for an enterprise IT program
  • Lead a team of cross-functional, geographically dispersed IT professionals
  • Ensure development and positive maintenance of project schedules for associated program deliverables
  • Provide technical and financial reporting on program status
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Directly manage and develop a team of senior leader program managers with varying areas of responsibility across the program
  • Identify and lead in the execution of program related efficiencies and innovative solutions
  • Build, mentor, and empower project and task leads across the program to successfully deliver against assigned requirements
  • Identify risks and document program progress including implementation, timelines, quality, and success criteria to meet contractual requirements
  • Manage and ensure all project issues are resolved promptly to avoid negative impact to the budget or schedule
  • Work closely with the BAE Systems Talent Acquisition team to identify new candidates and adjudicate interviews, vetting and hiring of the new resources
  • Control and ensure consistent communications across the program including the following stakeholder groups: client, IDIQ contract leadership, COTR & CO, task order senior leadership team, project manager cadre, and workforce
  • Foster a workplace environment of "mission calibration," emphasizing exceptional service delivery to support the customer's mission.
  • Ensure cost efficient, innovative, and resilient engineering solutions are designed, implemented, and approved by customer
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to identify opportunities for hardening systems, improving resiliency, buying down future technical debt, improving security posture, increasing efficiency, and reducing total cost of ownership for the customer
  • Promote transparency in workforce efficiency by utilizing program management tools like JIRA and ServiceNow
  • Lead program efforts within a SecDevOps model


Requirements and skills:

  • Proven working experience as a program and project manager in the information technology sector
  • Prior PM experience in the IC leading a project of over 100 resources and valued over $200M
  • Five or more years of experience briefing and providing oversite to contractual and programmatic details to include finances, schedule, and scope.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in information technology
  • Excellent client-facing, internal team communication, and risk mitigation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certified
  • ITIL 4 certification or 5 or more years of experience with Enterprise IT Operations
  • BS degree in an IT or engineering discipline
  • Experience implementing or working within a SecDevOps model


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
