IT Product Owner Lead - AML
The IT Product Owner Lead - AML is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering technology solutions that support Anti-Money Laundering compliance initiatives. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, ensuring AML systems and tools meet regulatory requirements, operational efficiency, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Defines and maintains the AML product vision and roadmap aligned with compliance and IT strategies. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify business needs and regulatory changes impacting AML systems.
- Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Translates AML compliance requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Prioritizes backlog items based on business value, risk, and regulatory deadlines.
- Delivery & Execution: Works closely with development teams, QA, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of AML features and enhancements. Oversees system integrations with transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and KYC platforms.
- Stakeholder Management: Serves as the primary liaison between Compliance, IT, and external vendors. Communicates product updates, risks, and timelines to senior leadership.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensures AML technology solutions comply with global regulatory standards (e.g., BSA, FATF, OFAC). Supports audits and regulatory examinations by providing system documentation and evidence.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitors system performance and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization. Stays current on AML technology trends and regulatory developments.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Product Management
- Strong understanding of AML regulations, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and KYC processes.
- Agile methodology experience (Scrum, SAFe).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in Product Management
- Strong experience with AML platforms (Actimize, SAS, Oracle Mantas, etc.).
- Certifications: CAMS, CSM, or equivalent.

- University (Degree) Preferred
