An exciting opportunity for an IT Procurement Specialist to join our Finance, Procurement & Legal division in a permanent full-time role.
The Finance, Procurement & Legal Division provides critical corporate support across financial management, procurement, legal services, governance, and general affairs, including property and infrastructure management. The division plays a key role in protecting Toyota’s interests, ensuring compliant and efficient operations, and enabling the delivery of the company’s strategic objectives.
The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for delivering effective procurement outcomes across indirect categories, with a primary focus on IT. This role supports the Senior Procurement Specialist and the business in achieving its objectives through structured sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and governance, while adhering to established procurement frameworks and policies.
Working closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, Risk, and other business units, the role supports with providing commercial insight, procurement guidance, and sourcing support. It ensures a balanced approach to governance, cost, quality, risk, and innovation. The Procurement Specialist also contributes to category and sourcing initiatives led by senior procurement team members and plays a key role in embedding efficient, compliant, and value-driven procurement practices across the organisation.
This role is based in Port Melbourne, with regular travel required to our Altona North office. Flexible working arrangements are available. Additionally, this role may require some travel to our Sydney office.
How you’ll make an impact
Support with delivering end-to-end procurement across indirect categories, with a strong focus on IT, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
Assist in managing contract lifecycles, including renewals and variations, with escalation of complex or high-risk matters as required.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance against KPIs and SLAs, while supporting issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, Risk, and broader business units to provide procurement guidance, commercial insight, and sourcing support aligned to business objectives.
Assist with ensuring procurement activities are compliant with policies and governance frameworks, promoting ethical sourcing and supporting risk mitigation in collaboration with Legal and Risk teams.
Leverage spend data and market insights to inform sourcing decisions, support procurement systems and tools, and contribute to continuous improvement and capability uplift within the procurement function.
Your attributes – if this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you
Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, with a strong interest in developing a career in procurement.
Experience supporting procurement or vendor management activities, with exposure to sourcing processes across indirect categories, ideally including IT including experience working with P2P/S2C systems (e.g. Coupa or equivalent)
Familiarity with end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, supplier coordination, and governance, while supporting senior team members.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to assist in spend analysis, reporting, and preparation of procurement documentation and presentations.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide day-to-day support to a Senior Procurement Specialist.
Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established processes, and demonstrate a commitment to learning and developing procurement capability.
