The Job:

We are seeking a skilled IT & Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our technology infrastructure—from procurement and setup to maintenance and troubleshooting—ensuring seamless operations for our corporate team.

You’ll work cross-functionally with software engineers and other team members to deliver robust and reliable IT solutions that directly support our mission to eliminate wildfires. This includes managing hardware, software, and network systems, overseeing vendor relationships, and providing technical support to end-users.

What You’ll Do:

  • IT Procurement & Vendor Management: Manage the purchasing lifecycle for IT hardware, software, and peripherals. This includes sourcing equipment, obtaining quotes, negotiating with vendors for best pricing, and processing purchase orders.

  • Asset Management: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets (computers, mobile devices, licenses, and accessories) from acquisition through deployment to retirement/disposal.

  • Software Licensing: Track software subscriptions and renewals to ensure compliance and avoid service interruptions; audit usage to optimize costs.

  • Technical Support & Operations: Provide Tier 1-3 support for the corporate team, handling the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Infrastructure Management: Administer network systems including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and manage hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • System Administration: Configure and maintain MDM solutions, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and SaaS applications to ensure security and efficiency.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.

  • Proven experience with IT procurement, including vendor management, contract negotiation, and hardware/software purchasing.

  • Experience managing IT budgets and tracking asset inventory (ITAM).

  • Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.

  • Hands-on experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SaaS applications.

  • Proven experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

  • Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, NetSuite) or asset management software.

  • Proven experience with advanced cybersecurity best practices and tools.

  • Exposure to modern IT infrastructure concepts, including cloud services, virtualization, scripting/automation, and system monitoring.
