Overview of Role
Rothschild & Co as an organisation requires a high quality and responsive IT service for busy professionals. The organisation is committed to excellence and discretion in the services provided to its clients and needs similarly high standards in support of its own staff. Rothschild & Co is building a strong IT Service Management team to support the business in its ambitious strategic objectives. The successful candidate will have a varied and hands-on role working as part of the IT Service Delivery Team. This covers a wide range of topics such as support and continuous improvements to our workplace infrastructure in collaboration with the service provider, support of our traders and their trading systems, onsite support of bank staff, leading projects in our workplace environment and other infrastructure areas.
As part of a small team, the ideal candidate is service-oriented, technically strong, adaptable, and proactive. They take ownership of their responsibilities, communicate effectively, and contribute positively as a collaborative team player. Given the nature of the role and its close interaction with internal stakeholders, the position is fully on-site.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is well-organized, customer-focused, capable of working independently, and skilled at solving complex technical challenges.
- Modern Workplace Support: Provide support for Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and endpoint services. Troubleshoot and resolve workplace technology issues in collaboration with team members and service providers.
- Device & Asset Management: Manage the lifecycle of laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, including inventory, deployment, replacements, and joiner/leaver processes.
- Mobile Device Management: Support mobile devices and applications through Microsoft Intune, MDM, and MAM solutions.
- Identity & Access Management: Support user accounts, group memberships, and access management in Microsoft Entra ID.
- Team Collaboration. Work closely with colleagues, share knowledge, maintain comprehensive documentation, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Onsite & Remote Support. Deliver first-line and onsite support via phone, email, ticketing tools, and in person, ensuring an excellent end-user experience.
Education and Qualifications
- A completed apprenticeship (ICT-Fachmann/-frau EFZ), or a comparable combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Proven experience supporting Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Strong IT support background with a customer-focused service delivery mindset
- Flexible and proactive, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Good technical knowledge of End User Computing, Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, and IT infrastructure
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Experience working with external service providers and supporting business users in a professional environment
