The JETS II contract is seeking a IT Network Management for GRAIL & SEAL to support the JETS II contract. This position will be responsible for designing, managing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure of the integrated avionics labs. Duties include architecture design to hands-on technician work to ensure the networks are designed, setup, and operate properly according to the cybersecurity plan.

The IT Network Management for GRAIL & SEAL will:

• Define requirements and design implementation of network to meet the lab’s concept of operations

• Set up of computers, routers, and other hardware that require network access

• Manage inventory of IT equipment

• Install, update, and configure computer software and hardware

• Establish communication with external lab interfaces, ensure time syncing between multiple data sources, and set up storage infrastructure

• Will be essential to the success of the Gateway Ready Avionics Integration Lab (GRAIL) which will certify the avionics for all modules of the Gateway Program which will return to the moon

• Will be essential for Surface Exploration Avionics Lab ( SEAL)

• Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment

• Perform other duties as required​

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area or experience in the field.

• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and power systems

• Understanding of lab operations and documentation

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.​

Requisition Preferences:

• Familiar with JSC organizations, processes, and procedures.

• The ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.

• Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process

• Familiarity with  designing, managing, maintaining, and supporting the IT infrastructure of the integrated avionics labs​

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
