Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated IT Network Engineer (L1) to support our industrial network infrastructure. The candidate will assist in maintaining firewalls, monitoring network components, and ensuring basic operational continuity in IT environments.
This role requires travelling to the OT plants for network activities once in 15 days.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of IT networks including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Assist with network configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
- Monitor firewall logs and raise alerts for anomalies and raising support tickets.
- Working on physical layer such as network Cabling, crimping, I/O punching.
- Support documentation of network diagrams and changes.
- 2–4 years of experience in network operations or engineering
- Familiarity with firewall technologies (FortiGate, Palo Alto, or equivalent).
- Good understanding of IP networking (VLANs, subnetting, routing basics).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP mode
- Firewall Knowledge (SOPHOS, Fortigate, Palo Alto, etc), Switches & AP (Cisco, Netgear, Aruba, Juniper),Routing and switching experience CCNA or CCNP
- Troubleshoot network issues related to routing, switching, and load balancing.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tool.
Skills Required
- 2-4 years of experience in network operations or network engineering
- Familiarity with firewall technologies such as FortiGate, Palo Alto, or equivalent
- Good understanding of IP networking, including VLANs, subnetting, and routing basics
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP models
- Knowledge of Sophos, FortiGate, Palo Alto, or equivalent firewall technologies
- Experience with Cisco, Netgear, Aruba, or Juniper switches and access points
- Routing and switching experience, with CCNA or CCNP knowledge or certification
- Ability to troubleshoot routing, switching, and load-balancing issues
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools
- Ability to perform network cabling, crimping, and I/O punching
- Ability to travel to OT plants for network activities once every 15 days
