Job Responsibilities:
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or a related field AND four years of information technology experience which includes one year of supervisory experience; OR,
- Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education

- Knowledge of supervisory practices, principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of providing computing services in an academic environment.
- Knowledge of current computer hardware, software and emerging technologies.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining standards, policies, and operational effectiveness of information technology staff.
- Experiences with SAP, VMWare ESX Server
- Experiences with JIT / JIS systems
- Experience with LAN / WAN to provide a resilient environment.
- Print Server and Network Printing, Laser and Barcode printing / scanning
- Skill in analysing operational efficiency.
- Skill in managing projects.
- Effective Data Storage - Storage techniques, RAID config, mirroring & snapshots.
- Fluent English
- Fluent Romanian
- Very good project management, leadership and presentation skills.
- Managing, motivational, communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience
- 7 years of progressively responsible information technology experience including one year of supervisory experience
- Main tasks:
- Manages, plans, organizes, schedules, prioritizes, assigns, and reviews the work of assigned information technology staff; monitors workload, deadlines, goals and progress.
- Trains staff and ensures application of current performance, policy and processing standards.
- Conducts analysis and provides input into information technology strategic planning. Participates in budget development.
- Plans, organizes and serves as project manager on large/complex information technology projects.
- Ensuring the correctness and efficiency of the local technical infrastructure.
- Selection of hardware and software for the plant according to MAGNA guidelines.
- Implementation, installation and support of the hardware and software.
- Ensuring data-backup and data saving referring to all applied systems.
- Documentation of all relevant issues in the field of responsibility according to existing SOX compliance guidelines.
- To test new functionality prior to implementation and manage the User Acceptance Testing.
- Server build, upgrade and maintenance.
- Customer contact in order to ensure timely electronic data transfer occurs.
- Coordination of the IT-related capacity- and cost-reporting.
- Follow a formal Change Control Procedure for introduction of hardware and software changes.
- Managing JIS calls in a timely manner through the outsourced supplier.
- Manage ERP related staff in case of 2nd and 3 level support and hosting partner
- Evaluates emerging technologies and identifies hardware, software, and other resources necessary to accomplish unit tasks within budgetary constraints. Recommends the purchase of hardware/software.
- Establishes unit standards and policies; implements and recommends actions to improve work flow, simplify operational and reporting procedures and improve performance standards.
- Coordinates unit activities with vendors, users and other operational units.
- Maintains work, time and cost records. Writes status reports, including conclusions and operational recommendations.
- Supervises one IT Specialist, on a regular basis.
- Drive and apply standards / best practices
- Work closely with the regional IT BRM ensuring alignment with the global Group strategy
- Maintain compliance with IT policies and procedures
