This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the IT department, including break-fix support, IT projects, staff oversight, and providing general IT support across multiple sites at Valley Community Healthcare (VCH). Responsibilities include collaborating with IT department leadership to oversee the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions of VCH. Integral to the success of this position is positive interaction with physicians, staff, management, and the VCH IT department to ensure effective management and momentum of information system/technology projects.


Responsibilities:

· Provides effective and prompt solutions to technical problems of VCH staff with excellent customer service

· Supports and maintains existing applications

· Plans, implements, and manages the development of new technical solutions

· Oversees IT department staff

· Assists IT department leadership to direct all IT operations to meet organizational requirements, following ITIL standards

· Must be available when needed.


Specific Duties:

· Provides technical support services to both VCH staff and the IT support team as needed

· Serves as technical lead by analyzing technical needs of VCH staff and the IT support team and recommending solutions

· Ensures the consistency and function of existing applications and services by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions

· Develops robust project plans that define project scopes, detailed timelines, and priorities

· Manages project implementation by monitoring and reporting the progress, driving continued integration with related technology solutions, and overseeing IT support teams

· Directs, prioritizes, and supervises the workload of IT personnel

· Reviews all designs, code, and unit test plans where applicable

· Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts

· Performs liaison duties between users, operations, and IT personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or troubleshooting

· Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations

· Orders all major equipment including copy machines, computers, printers, telephone equipment including landlines and cell phones with approval from IT department leadership

· Assists IT department leadership to conduct interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.

· Creates reports and analyzes data to support decision-making

Minimum Qualifications:

· Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies

· Deep understanding of Network technologies and cloud services.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills

· Experience in project management

· Experience with software development projects

· Knowledge of SQL

· Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration

· Experience managing ticketing systems (Service Desk Plus preferred)

· Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and motivate professional staff

· Proven ability to lead a progressive IT group

· Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

· Ability to assess technological metrics and translate them into actionable insights

· Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

· Understanding of health care, and HIT issues

· Professional writing skills

· Microsoft certification in related field

· ITIL certification

· College degree or equivalent experience;
