Wachter is accepting applications for an IT Manager for Quality Assurance in our Lenexa, KS office with a hybrid work schedule. This hands-on role will lead our Quality Assurance (QA) team in implementing automated testing processes as well as maintaining manual testing practices and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, hands-on experience with automated testing tools, and a proven track record of successfully implementing automated testing frameworks in organizations transitioning from manual testing.

• You are required to work in the office 4 days a week, and have the option to work from home 1 day a week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.).
• Certifications in QA/testing (e.g., ISTQB certification).
• Experience in a similar industry or domain (e.g., construction, service, implementation).
• Proven experience (4+ years) as a QA Manager, QA Lead, or similar role, with a focus on automated testing implementation.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding and experience with Azure DevOps.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsiblities:

• Develop and execute the QA strategy to achieve high-quality software releases.
• Lead a team of QA engineers and testers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
• Implement automated testing processes and frameworks across various projects and applications.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to integrate automated tests into the existing ecosystem.
• Define and establish QA metrics to monitor and improve the software development process and product quality.
• As needed, conduct thorough testing including functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Evaluate and select appropriate automated testing tools and technologies.
• Train and onboard team members on automated testing best practices and tools.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in QA and test automation.
