Job Summary:

This individual will manage applications supporting Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Legal and Real Estate.  This includes management of systems analysts and developers, as well as project oversight and enforcement of development methodology.  Primary technologies involved are PeopleSoft Finance and Supply Chain (GL, AP, Asset Management, Billing, Receivables, Projects, Inventory).  Other applications within the portfolio include Coupa, OnBase, OmniRim, Stratton Warren, ELKE, Timberline, and T-Recs.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ideally this candidate would have spent many years early in their career within PeopleSoft including well rounded experience in development and functional roles.  Having the ability to guide work from raw design to finished product is a key skillset.  The past number of years would have been spent directly leading development teams in PeopleSoft and spending significant time partnering with their business peers.
  • Oversee all production support and on-going release maintenance of PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain including Enhancements, Bug Fixes, batch scheduling and monitoring, and Bundles and Upgrades.  Ensure internal controls are developed, followed and support SOX processes.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance process developing use cases, test plans and test scripts, coordinating test activities, documenting test results, and driving the issue resolution process throughout the test cycles.
  • Define, enforce, and guide teams using standard software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to supervise external resources and accurately forecast work, proactively escalate conflicts and issues, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines across support and maintenance business needs.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Receivables & Billing, Legal, and Compliance in the development and execution of vision and strategy.
  • Understand the software landscape in order to inform and influence product roadmaps in support of our business strategy.
  • Mentor and grow team members through self-assessments, mid-year and annual reviews, goal setting and performance management.
  • Consistently demonstrate analytical thinking both through verbal and non-verbal communications that is consumable by peers, subordinates, and upper management.  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple levels of corporate culture from end-user to corporate executives.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of PeopleSoft Finance/Supply Chain technical development experience.
  • PeopleSoft Financials development experience
  • Has experience in a technical lead role managing systems analysts and developers
  • Experience in partnering directly with VPs, Directors, and Managers on the business without direct support from their manager
  • Work experience gathering business and technical requirements
  • Work experience managing solution delivery projects
  • 5+ years and must include managing of analyst and developers
  • Microsoft Database Technologies, including SQL 2008
  • Very proficient in Excel for purposes of building staffing plans, budgeting, data analysis
  • Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and communication skills required
  • Ability to participate in a complex portfolio of projects
  • Proven organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work with closely with technical teams, business teams, and vendors
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and complex environment as a part of a team
  • Ability and passion to quickly learn new systems, tools and procedures to assist companies on IT data solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with issue management software such as JIRA, Numara or Stat.
  • Development in other codelines such as Java, .net, SSIS
  • Experience in working with DBAs and System Administrators
