Our Client is a Technical Group of global specialist in electric power conversion providing solutions to 47 countries worldwide. With offices, production sites, R&D, and service centers across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, our Client serves a global customer base in both OEM and Aftermarket & Service business areas. The central group functions are located in Germany and Krakow (Poland), while their OEM business units have locations in Bulgaria, the USA, Brazil and Japan.
As Group IT Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the strategy and corporate development of our Client Group globally. You will drive the development of a modern IT architecture in their international group of companies and support the generation of respective gains in productivity and efficiency. You will report to the Group CFO and collaborate closely with the management teams and cross-functional teams worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of Group’s global modern workplace strategy with regards to IT architecture and applications.
- Development of the IT strategy, taking into account the requirements of the respective branches.
- Monitoring, control and continuous improvement of the ERP system, including prioritization of the respective measures.
- Close cooperation and coordination with the specialist departments and implementation of workshops: Translation of “business into IT” and “IT into business”.
- Governance of implementation processes, i.e. with regards to the implementation of AI solutions and the preparation of the required data maturity.
- Management of IT service providers for applications, IT infrastructure and services, including contract negotiations.
- Promoting process efficiency and transparency through reporting and selective adjustments.
- Monitoring and improving business-relevant KPIs and using IT tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency within the organization- Development and management of IT architecture as well as IT delivery and compliance (InfoSec and data protection).
- IT budget preparation and management.
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related field as well as several years of experience in consulting or corporate roles in information technology.
- Solid experience with IT infrastructure as well as with the implementation of ERP systems, automated processes, and business applications.
- Solid experience with applications like Microsoft 365, MS Dynamics Business Central, Sharepoint, PowerBI, MS Copilot, LucaNet.
- Strong understanding of intelligent workplace concepts and AI-driven process automation.
- A strong understanding of processes in the manufacturing industry, as well as experience in material management and material requirements planning, is a significant advantage.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with enterprise clients and technology partners.
- Experience in team leadership, mentoring, or talent development as well as excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills. You are able to moderate the process of gathering business requirements and break them down into logically manageable activities.
- You have experience in change management and can translate stakeholder needs into practical, technical solutions, thereby ensuring the success of IT projects.
- You understand the value and cost factors in IT and technology and know how to identify and leverage optimization potential.
- You are able to present technology solutions to various stakeholders and convince them of your vision.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English; German or Polish language skills are an advantage.
- High level of initiative, commitment, and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
- Experience in working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Willingness to work and travel internationally when necessary.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on approach, and strong implementation skills.
