Job Description Summary:We are looking for a skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, manage, and optimize our on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, scalability, and performance of systems while supporting business growth and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS).

  • Manage and monitor servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network components.

  • Administer cloud environments, including compute, networking, storage, and security services.

  • Ensure system reliability, performance, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, patching, and access controls.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

  • Collaborate with application, security, and DevOps teams to support deployments and integrations.

  • Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

  • Support capacity planning and cost optimization for on-prem and cloud environments.

  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of on-prem infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, virtualization such as VMware/Hyper-V, storage, networking).

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).

  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.

  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (PowerShell).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Cloud and/or infrastructure certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, VMware).

  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

  • ITIL knowledge or certification.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive mindset and sense of ownership.

  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Continuous learning attitude.
