The position
You will join a dynamic team in Digital Finance and Architecture (DFA) - a young and ambitious team located in Bagsværd, Denmark. DFA is part of Finance & Compliance, which is responsible for financial reporting, compliance and driving digital transformation. At the same time you are expected to closely collaborate with the relevant DD&IT (Digital Data & IT) organisations (Staff - Finance and BI, Data Management & Analytics).
As an IT Finance Manager and team lead, you will foster a learning culture and help the nurturing of the finance data strategy. Equally important, you be the team lead of the IT engineers where you will build a strong team culture, enhance team progress and ensuring a steady delivery flow according to the FLGS ART (Finance, Legal & Global Solutions Agile Release Train) and build a successful group of SMEs with strong in-depth knowledge of the finance data domain both from a functional and IT platform perspective.
You will be the working with an international team with members located in Denmark and India that collaborates with finance process owners, Global IT and BI teams and acts as a trusted link between business needs, finance systems and digital solutions. In addition to that, you will:

  • Lead the IT engineering team both allocated directly to Finance Data Centre (solution/system architects) as well as managing our extended list of consultant's support from various DD&IT departments as well as external partners.
  • Partner with the Global Process Lead delegates across Finance to support their data journey with their respected S/4 HANA Benefit portfolio projects.
  • Support the Global Finance organisation to get the most out of Novo Nordisk current and emerging IT infrastructure.
  • Help us build a winning team to design and implement the best in-class solutions within the future ERP platform that maximise the value of our digital finance investments.
  • Be facilitating team events and ensuring efficient delivery by preparing, moderating, and postprocessing discussions.
  • Be reviewing and potentially redesigning the current processes, KPIs, etc. to fit the team's needs.


To succeed in this role, you must embrace the servant leader mindset, empowering people to change without formal authority, and the ability to balance innovation and process change with mission critical reliability requirements. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, as the team members and stakeholders across the organisation, are located globally.
Qualifications
We expect you to have most of the following:

  • You have relevant experience with a proven track record and holds a relevant Master degree.
  • A proven track record in leading data management and strategy initiatives, preferably within finance.
  • A deep understanding of SAP finance modules, data structures, and master data management.
  • Experience in building and lead teams, with a strategic approach to team development.
  • Familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, and the ability to navigate the complexities of integrating various data systems.
  • As a person, you are curious, pro-active, high performing, business minded and interested in initiating and drive projects that will positively impact our finance infrastructure development. You have a flair for IT, a good sense of humour and you have a drive to surprise us with your background and personality.

The IT Operations department at Novo Nordisk is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the organization's information technology resources. As part of the Digital Operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure. With a focus on ensuring compliance and driving digital development, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's success.
