As an IT engineer – customer support, you’ll play a key role in enabling ASML’s advanced software applications to run smoothly on customer networks. You’ll help bridge the gap between ASML’s development teams and customer IT departments, ensuring seamless deployment and support of our Virtual Computational Platform (VCP). This platform powers large-scale ASML applications at customer sites, contributing directly to the performance and reliability of semiconductor manufacturing.
Role and responsibilities
The IT engineer will be part of the ABS Metrology and Patterning Control (MPC) Software Customer Support team. You’ll work closely with project leaders and development teams to prepare customers for VCP installation and maintenance. Your role requires strong communication and technical skills to align stakeholders and drive progress across multiple customer projects.
Your responsibilities include:
Coordinate with ASML field teams and development to support VCP deployment.
Assess customer IT environments and advise on infrastructure readiness.
Troubleshoot network and platform issues across diverse environments.
Guide customers on compute, storage, and virtualization requirements.
Support container-based and distributed data deployments.
Facilitate technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate documentation and alignment on installation requirements.
Education and experience
Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience is also acceptable.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a B2B technical support or infrastructure role.
Experience working with large enterprise customers.
Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and distributed systems.
Understanding of VCP architecture and deployment principles.

You’ll receive training on the VCP concept and work closely with development and customer teams to define installation requirements, including:
Resource planning (CPU, RAM, disk space, number of virtual machines).
Network configuration for high availability and recovery.
Validation of system integration and impact assessments.
