This position is part of the Information Technology (IT) department located in Brea, CA and will be onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Enterprise Data & AI Team and report to the Senior Manager responsible for data management and analytics development. If you thrive in a multifunctional, fast paced role and want to work to build a world-class information technology organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the following opportunities, but are not limited to:

• Supporting the build-out of an enterprise data catalog — profiling datasets, documenting business definitions, and labelling data so it is usable by both people and AI models.
• Engineering and testing features that improve the accuracy of machine learning and AI models across Finance, Service, and Supply Chain use cases.
• Designing and testing prompts for AI agents such as Claude Cowork — evaluating response quality and identifying failure cases.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or other relevant quantitative fields
• Experience with two or more of the following data science tools in your repertoire: SQL, SAS, R, Python, SPSS, data mining, etc.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL preferred.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Familiarity with vector databases or semantic search concepts
• Experience with data catalog or data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Atlan)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure tools

The hourly range for this role is $30 USD / Hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
