ICE Consulting is seeking an experienced IT Buyer to join our dynamic team. As an IT Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing and purchasing computer hardware and software solutions that meet our clients' needs. Your strong interpersonal skills will be vital as you interact with clients daily, ensuring their requirements are understood and fulfilled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present multiple quotes for computer hardware and software to clients.
- Follow up with clients and maintain communication regarding their orders.
- Manage and maintain hardware and software warranty, support, and licenses for clients.
- Place orders for hardware and software upon client approval.
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors to ensure best pricing and service.
- Track orders and provide estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to clients.
- Update clients regularly with their order status.
- Oversee office inventory and order refreshments as needed.
- Handle multiple quotes and orders simultaneously, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities.
- Assign and manage service requests (tickets) effectively.
- Assist in scheduling resources and organizing documentation related to warranties and licenses.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all purchasing activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other relevant software.
- Familiarity with ticketing and quotation applications, such as ConnectWise and QuoteWerks.
- 5+ years of customer support experience, preferably in the tech industry.
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including Project, Visio, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision-making skills and good judgment in purchasing scenarios.
- Demonstrated initiative, with a positive and outgoing attitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in tasks.
- Familiarity with Confluence for document management.
- Outstanding communication skills, focusing on delivering high levels of customer service.
- Able to collaborate professionally with team members, vendors, and clients.
- Possess a presentable demeanor, capable of interacting with clients effectively under pressure.
