Vixxo is seeking a full-time IT Administrator to work out of our Dallas, TX, office.

THE ROLE:

Our ideal candidate is one who is passionate about their career and provides excellent support on a Level 2 deskside support team. As a member of the IT Operations and Cybersecurity team, they will be an IT technician for End User Computing services involved in all things related to delivering and supporting a high-quality modern workplace experience, including management of cloud desktops, mobile devices, laptops, and End User Computing applications. They will collaborate with the Service Desk, Deskside Support, Infrastructure, and Security teams to provide world-class service to Vixxo’s associates and partners, with a specific emphasis on enabling the business to operate smoothly.

TOP 3 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of laptop computers, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines. Establishes and maintains user accounts and passwords in accordance with company information security guidelines. Works with IT staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients. Diagnoses and resolves unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determines the source of problems and classifies their level, priority, and nature.
  • Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client-server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
  • Works with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software. Participate in hardware and software reviews and recommend purchases. Analyze and make recommendations for hardware and software standardization. Maintain inventory of installed software and hardware, manage software licensing, and create policies and procedures for upgrades. Work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 of years’ experience working in a desktop support and service desk capacity.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. (CompTIA A+ or MCSA is highly desired)
  • Familiarity with Modern Workplace technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 10/11 Enterprise, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, etc.
  • Application administration of Office 365, including Office, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues using the process of elimination and testing validation for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory (AD). Azure Active Directory (AAD), Single-Sign-On (SSO), Multifactor Authentication, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Apple iOS and Android OS
  • Basic understanding of networking principles related to TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN
