What You’ll Do
We are seeking an IT Admin to administer the collaboration, service management, and automation platforms that Horizon3 teams use every day. The Business Applications (BizApps) team is the operational backbone for organizational collaboration, system connectivity, and process automation at Horizon3. We partner with every department to provide the platforms, guardrails, and integrations that eliminate manual toil safely and efficiently. We own and administer Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), Confluence, Rovo, Loom, Glean, and our citizen development platform, Workato. We hold ourselves to least-privilege access, data privacy, and auditable data flows in everything we build.
In this role, you will administer our non-AI tooling: Jira, JSM, Confluence, Loom, and the support layer around Workato and our citizen development platform. You will handle permissions and provisioning, configure projects and workflows, and take on advanced configuration such as JSM SLAs, custom fields, and automations. You will scope and complete moderately complex improvements with little direction.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Applications. You will collaborate with the Senior Engineer, who handles complex solution design and integration builds, and with the AI Admins. The path from Admin to Senior Engineer is a defined growth route on this team.
This role will be responsible for:
Administer Jira, JSM, Confluence, and Loom, including user provisioning and deprovisioning, groups, permission schemes, and licensing
Resolve access, permission, and configuration requests from cross-functional teams
Configure projects, workflows, screens, custom fields, and automation rules in Jira and Confluence to meet team requirements
Configure JSM request types, queues, forms, and SLAs, and tune them using ticket and SLA performance data
Scope and deliver moderately complex improvements end to end, from requirements through rollout and documentation
Monitor Workato recipe runs, triage failures, and fix or escalate issues to the Senior Engineer with clear diagnostic detail
Support citizen developers by onboarding builders, provisioning sandboxes and service accounts, and applying approved templates and guardrails
Apply role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege access across owned platforms, and run periodic access and license reviews
Identify repetitive administration tasks and automate them to reduce manual toil
Maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and configuration documentation
Report on license utilization, request volume, and platform health to the Senior Manager
Demonstrate a commitment to integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction
Must have hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence, or comparable work management or ITSM platforms, in an organization with multiple teams
Must have experience configuring workflows, custom fields, and automation rules beyond default settings, including service management SLAs or equivalent
Must have working knowledge of RBAC and least-privilege access, and experience managing permission schemes and user lifecycle on SaaS platforms
Must have experience managing a request queue and resolving access and configuration issues within service levels
Must be able to scope, plan, and complete moderately complex projects with little direction from a manager
Must be able to write clear documentation and user guidance for technical and non-technical employees
Must be able to read and troubleshoot integration or automation logs well enough to isolate a failure and escalate it with useful detail
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience in IT, business systems administration, or SaaS platform administration
Experience supporting a distributed or remote-first workforce
Required Tech Stack Experience

Horizon3.ai Insights
What We Do
Horizon3.ai's mission is to help you find and fix attack vectors before attackers can exploit them. NodeZero, our autonomous penetration testing solution, enables organizations to continuously assess the security posture of their enterprise, including external, identity, on-prem, IoT, and cloud attack surfaces. Like APTs, ransomware, and other threat actors, our algorithms discover and fingerprint your attack surface, identifying the ways exploitable vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, harvested credentials, and dangerous product defaults can be chained together to facilitate a compromise. NodeZero is a true self-service SaaS offering that is safe to run in production and requires no persistent or credentialed agents. You will see your enterprise through the eyes of the attacker, identify your ineffective security controls, and ensure your limited resources are spent fixing problems that can actually be exploited. Founded in 2019 by industry, US Special Operations, and US National Security veterans, Horizon3.ai is headquartered in San Francisco, CA, and made in the USA.
