Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The ISSO will be responsible for providing information security oversight and guidance to a variety of IT systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP, and experience with security tools and technologies, such as Xacta. This position is located in Herndon, VA or Reston, VA and will be full-time on site. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain security plans and documentation for a variety of IT systems and applications.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks
• Monitor and analyze security events and incidents
• Provide security training and awareness to system users
• Work with system owners and developers to ensure that security requirements are met
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP
• Provide support for the development and implementation of new security technologies and processes
• Work with a team of security professionals to ensure the overall security of the organization's IT systems and applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field  

• 7+ years of experience as an ISSO or in a related security role
• Experience with risk management frameworks, such as NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as Xacta
• Strong understanding of security concepts, such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• US Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance with polygraph

This position is located in Northern Virginia.

The estimated salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00, commensurate on CLEARANCE, technical skillset and overall experience.
