Shell is looking to onboard a senior SRE resource on an immediate basis to support the SLMT application landscape. This role requires a strong technical lead who can provide hands‑on expertise, drive key automation and transformation initiatives horizontally across the SLMT cloud landscape, and mentor the broader team. The resource will not be aligned to a single application but will instead focus on enabling platform improvements and reliability enhancements across multiple services.

Responsibilities

Required Skillset:

• Strong expertise in Azure IaaS/PaaS, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Proven ability to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks jobs, cluster configuration, performance tuning, and cost optimization
• High proficiency in Terraform for developing and maintaining IaC modules
• Strong Python automation capabilities for operational workflows
• Advanced observability and diagnostics experience across logs, metrics, and traces
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and troubleshooting
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory pipelines and integrations
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Functions for event‑driven workflows
• Working knowledge of Azure Automation (Runbooks, Logic Apps)
• Ability to implement basic self‑healing and remediation workflows
• Working knowledge of Azure WAF, Front Door, and Application Gateway
• Exposure to CI/CD migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions
• Exposure to vulnerability remediation and secure pipeline practices
