About the Job

The Integrated Pest Management Applicator Tech is responsible for executing the implementation of the integrated pest management programs at the cultivation facility. This person will apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed by the IPM program as well as implement other practices to mitigate plant pests and pathogens; apply new pest elimination tools and capture devices as needed to sustain and improve pest management.


What You Will Do

Responsible for the execution of the IPM program as assigned by General Manager.

Assist in the improvement of existing pest control programs to reduce overall plant damage and disposals.

Oversee the health of cultivation under controlled environment.

Completing pest assessments on every flower room.

Maintaining and logging forms.

Perform treatment applications, inoculations, and disease evaluations.

 Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all employees.

Set goals and meet deadlines.

Scouting to look through plants for pests.

Maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work.

Participate in ongoing education and professional development as needed.

Work collectively and respectfully with other team members.

Plant intake (ensuring clone quality and health).

Other duties as assigned


What We Are Looking For

Experience in the operation of agricultural crop production equipment (Preferred)

 Ability to pass a respiratory medical evaluation and fit test (Required)

The possession of either a Qualified Applicator License, Qualified Applicator Certificate, or the ability to acquire a Private Applicator Certificate by passing a test administered by the Agricultural Commissioner's Office 

High School Diploma (preferred)

2+ years experience in agriculture (preferred)

Working knowledge of agricultural practices, irrigation and cultivation systems 

Must be 21 years of age (or older) at the time of hire

Proficiency of the English language, verbal and written format (preferred)

Nice to have: PCA

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position in the selected city is: $20.00- $22.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.


Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., with or without assistance
  • Ability to climb, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, stand, bend and reach for the duration of shift
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate job related equipment
  • Requires normal hearing range
