Job Title : Sr. Manager - IP
Reporting to : Head of IP Management, Asia Pacific
Entity & Work Location : Evonik India, Thane
Purpose of the Position :
-
Provide patent drafts and filings, IP consulting, IP opinions, IP related contracts
-
Handling opposition, invalidation and patent infringement cases
-
Increase awareness on IP in India
-
Support RD&I hub in all IP matters
Key Responsibilities :
Patent related work:
-
Patent drafting and prosecution in corporation with the inventors, regional decision makers and portfolio responsible colleagues in other regions
-
Providing opinions, including validity and FTO analysis
-
Coordinating and handling of patent invalidation and infringement cases
-
Close cooperation with IP department in Asia Pacific Region, Germany, as well as US and external patent agencies.
Education Required:
-
Master, Ph.D. preferred / Natural sciences or engineering and Indian patent agent
-
Major preferred: Chemistry or chemical related subjects; preferably a polymer chemist, an organic chemist, a bio chemist or an expert on material science and Indian patent agent
Experience required :
-
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred industry experience: Chemical industry or law firm
Other qualifications:
-
Ability to work independently with high quality and with short deadlines, while maintaining the highest degree of attention to details and follow-through

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent ability to work in a team

Willingness to travel
