Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is a startup inside Magna International, a mobility technology company and one of the largest automotive suppliers in the world. W e are excited to be developing some of the most innovative solutions in sustainability and autonomy, the future of mobility! Our New Mobility Software Architecture team is currently seeking a Senior Software Architect for our Core connectivity software platform. This role will be Hybrid (3 days per week) in our Troy, Michigan office. #LI-Hybrid
Key Responsibilities

  • As the Software Integration Architect, you will provide system/product requirements specifications, solution definition, technical feasibility analysis, and architecture specification.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and IoT architecture models, with a focus on capturing APIs/interfaces, protocols, data structures, and system partitioning.
  • Provides technical guidance for system design and integration engineering activities. Ensures conceptual integrity of system design.
  • Responsible for both software and system architecture and implementation in collaboration with New Mobility Software.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and technical teams to provision estimates.
  • Develop overall implementation plans lead the implementation, customization and integration efforts as required.
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with technical and non-technical (customer IT leadership) audiences in effort to extract and capture business and technical requirements regarding security.
  • Provide ownership and facilitation of project deliverables which may include complete business cases, project solution charters, impact analysis, high level architectures, planning level requirements.


Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in implementing cloud-based software solutions.
  • Experience with integration of Embedded Sensors and Devices
  • Experience with programming languages (ex. Python, C#, JavaScript, C++).
  • Ability to recommend best practices for building secure and reliable applications.
  • Good understanding of IoT, security, communication protocols (MQTT)
  • Mobile Applications using APIs and service-oriented architectures
