Job Responsibilities:
Mobility (IoT) Architect
Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Architecture team within New Mobility Software.
  • Responsible for both software and system architecture, implementation in collaboration with New Mobility Software.
  • Provides pre-sales and post-sale technical direction and implementation support to new and existing IoT customers, including embedded application design, web services, cloud computing, and other services.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers and technical teams to provision estimates, develop overall implementation plans, and lead the implementation, customization, and integration efforts as required.
  • Conducts interviews and workshops with technical and non-technical (customer IT leadership) audiences to extract and capture business and technical requirements regarding security.
  • Provides ownership and facilitation of project deliverables, which may include complete business cases, project solution charters, impact analysis, high-level architectures, and planning-level requirements.
  • Conducts and facilitates customer executive team briefings to obtain sponsorship and clear hurdles as necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Math, Information Systems, Technology, or Computer Engineering.
  • Must have a "can do" attitude that challenges development teams to reach beyond what they think is possible.
  • Experience with MQTT/DDS/gRPC or similar messaging protocols.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience in complex system design and implementation.
  • Experience in implementing IoT/Machine to Machine (M2M) solutions or related fields, demonstrating extensive knowledge of the IoT/M2M market and ecosystems.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing complex systems, such as control systems for autonomous vehicles or aerospace applications.
  • Ability to lead technical teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.
