Join Reddit’s User Economy team, leading an exciting initiative that enables users to earn money through various Reddit products such as Awards, Premium, Collectible Avatars, and more. We’re redefining how users engage with and monetize their contributions, shaping the future of Reddit’s creator ecosystem.
As a key member of our small, fast-moving engineering team, you'll drive high-impact projects, working at the intersection of iOS development, monetization, and platform scalability. We've successfully launched key features and are expanding the team to build new, innovative ways for users to earn on Reddit.
What You’ll Do:
- Work cross-functionally, collaborate and partner with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy and build novel products and features that our users will love.
- Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll be reviewing code and design docs, giving feedback on product specs and mocks.
- Participate with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers. Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help mentor engineers on the team to grow their technical expertise.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes for iOS development.
Who You Might Be:
- BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in iOS application development.
- Proficiency with Swift and Xcode.
- Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or VIPER.
- Understanding of iOS testing principles and frameworks.
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with data persistence.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
- Strong communication skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively within a team.
- Entrepreneurial spirit. You are self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action in fast-paced environments. You love to build new things and thrive in ambiguity and even failure.

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission.
