iOS Native Developer

This is an iOS Native Developer role focused on building, maintaining and supporting business-critical mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI and Xcode. You will contribute throughout the application lifecycle, combining native mobile engineering with production support, monitoring, release management and collaboration across technical teams. We are hiring across seniority levels, from Junior to Lead.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications and reusable components using Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode and macOS;

• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and supporting services, considering HTTP communication, authentication, access control and dependencies involving identity, infrastructure and backend systems;

• Maintain application code, dependencies and delivery workflows using GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, managing application and library artefacts through Nexus Repository;

• Contribute to automated build, test and distribution pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps capabilities, including App Registrations and Key Vaults;

• Apply engineering, security and code-quality standards using SonarQube and relevant application-protection technologies;

• Monitor application health and investigate production incidents using Kibana, ServiceNow and related tools, performing troubleshooting, debugging and structured root cause analysis;

• Support application releases across testing and production environments, including planned weekend releases and urgent technical changes;

• Manage delivery activities and maintain technical documentation using Jira, Targetprocess, Confluence or SharePoint, collaborating with infrastructure, security and application teams to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement;

• For senior profiles, provide coaching and technical governance, contribute to roadmap decisions and drive the adoption of engineering and observability practices.

What You'll Need

Qualifications

• Experience in native iOS development appropriate to the relevant seniority level;

• Experience supporting production applications, incidents and releases;

• Experience working within an Agile delivery model;

• Experience with observability or monitoring platforms is valued;

• Coordination experience is expected for senior and lead profiles;

• Experience in regulated environments, particularly Financial Services, is considered an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Swift and SwiftUI;

• Native iOS development;

• Xcode and macOS;

• REST APIs and HTTP;

• Jenkins and CI/CD concepts;

• GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket;

• Nexus Repository;

• SonarQube;

• Azure DevOps, including App Registrations and Key Vaults;

• Authentication and role-based access concepts;

• Kibana or equivalent observability platforms;

• Jira, Targetprocess, ServiceNow, Confluence and SharePoint;

• Figma or Design System exposure is valued;

• Knowledge of AI prompting tools is valued according to seniority.

Profile & Other Requirements

• Professional English at C1 level, spoken and written, is mandatory;

• French and/or Dutch are considered an advantage;

• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders;

• Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed and international teams;

• Proactive mindset, ownership and commitment to continuous learning;

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation capabilities;

• Willingness to participate in on-call support and planned releases outside normal business hours when required;

• Alignment with CET working hours is mandatory;

• Lisbon-based hybrid working model;

• Must reside in Portugal and have legal permission to work in Portugal

Must own a valid work permit or EU/Schengen Space nationality to legally work in Portugal.
