We are seeking a talented and motivated iOS Developer to join our highly collaborative and growing multinational team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Swift, a deep understanding of fundamental software development principles such as SOLID, and experience with architectural patterns commonly used in iOS development. The candidate must also have experience with geolocation concepts, API integration, and eCommerce. This role requires close collaboration with global teams, including our mobile eCommerce partner based in the UK, while primarily working during USA East Coast hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work hand-in-hand with our mobile eCommerce partner in the UK to deliver high-quality, performant mobile solutions.
- Engage in an open and collaborative team environment, where teamwork is key to driving innovation and delivering outstanding products.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Integrate geolocation services and functionality within iOS apps, ensuring accurate and efficient data processing.
- Develop robust solutions through API integration with various third-party services.
- Implement eCommerce functionality, ensuring secure and seamless transactions and user experiences.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices like SOLID principles.
- Make architectural decisions with respect to composition vs inheritance and apply other relevant design patterns.
- Contribute to the improvement of the development process and codebase in a collaborative environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends, libraries, and techniques.
Requirements
- Proficient in Swift and strong familiarity with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, GCD and Autolayout.
- Solid understanding of SOLID principles and how to apply them in iOS development.
- Strong grasp of composition vs inheritance in object-oriented design and an understanding of when to use each.
- Experience with popular architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, and VIPER, and an understanding of why they are favored in modern iOS app development.
- Experience with geolocation services, including location tracking and mapping functionalities.
- Strong experience with API integration and working with RESTful APIs.
- Experience developing eCommerce apps or integrating eCommerce functionality.
- Experience with third-party libraries and dependency management tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and the use of pull requests, code reviews, and collaboration in a team environment.
- Ability to write unit tests and UI tests using tools like XCTest. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, distributed team.
- Ability to work during USA East Coast hours (GMT-5).
