Ionic (Angular) Developer (Mobile App Development & API Integration Expert)

Job Summary: Synechron is seeking a skilled Software Developer with expertise in the Ionic framework to build and maintain high-performance, cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Ionic (Angular/React), Capacitor/Cordova, and RESTful API integrations. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to create seamless mobile experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobile App Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Ionic (Angular/React).
• Implement Capacitor/Cordova plugins for native device functionalities.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and scalability.

API Integration & Backend Communication:

• Integrate with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party services.
• Implement authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Firebase Auth).
• Ensure secure data transmission using encryption and best security practices.

UI/UX Implementation:

• Work closely with designers to translate Figma/Sketch designs into responsive UI components.
• Implement animations, gestures, and adaptive layouts for mobile experiences.

Testing & Debugging:

• Write unit and integration tests for Ionic components and APIs.
• Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks, crashes, and UI glitches.
• Use tools like Jest, Cypress, Jasmine, or Protractor for testing.

Deployment & Maintenance:

• Package and deploy apps to Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
• Manage app updates, bug fixes, and feature enhancements.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Technical Expertise:

  • 8+ years of experience in Ionic Framework (Angular or React).
  • Experience with Capacitor/Cordova for native plugin integration.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and RxJS.
  • Expertise in RESTful API integration and handling offline storage.
  • Proficiency in CSS, SCSS, and UI frameworks (Material Design, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).
  • Experience in deploying apps to Google Play Store & Apple App Store.

• Testing & Debugging:

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Jasmine, Mocha).
  • Experience with debugging tools (Chrome DevTools, Postman, Firebase Crashlytics).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
