Job Description
Join our Investor Relations team at JPMorgan Chase! We are seeking an Associate to assist with the Firm's shareholder engagement efforts. The role requires heightened attention to detail, excellent note taking skills, a willingness to review data critically, effective communication skills and an understanding of financial markets and the company's business strategy.
As an Associate within the Investor Relations team, you will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to organize and document outcomes from a heavy calendar of investor meetings that must frequently be coordinated with subject matter experts. You will obtain and synthesize data from internal partners and help deliver management reporting, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Your principle duties include logistics design and delivery tied to support investor engagement, which is primarily focused on climate, nature, social and governance items.
Job responsibilities:
  • Help drive the investor outreach program, including but not limited to, research to identify and contact investors, meeting invitation creation and heavy focus on internal database maintenance alongside responsibility for helping ensure the accuracy of vendor-provided data
  • Collect and synthesize insights from hundreds of annual discussions with external stakeholders to provide recommendations that help lead business strategies in the form of briefings to senior executives, periodic reporting presentations and in-person updates
  • Help prepare materials and briefing documents and provide on-the-ground-logistical support for Operating Committee members and other members of senior management who participate in investor meetings, road shows and conferences
  • Drive the logistics planning needed for corporate access events for investors, including expert roundtables, livestreamed thematic panels and meetings with research analysts, among others
  • Prepare presentations on JPMorgan Chase & Co. results and strategy for Head of Investor Relations to present to audiences across the Firm
  • Manage some of the team's business management-related responsibilities, including inbound investors request monitoring and disposition, vendor management and risk and controls management, including compliance pre-clearances
  • Support the earnings materials' preparation process and other work streams on the team as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of how banks operate, with an interest in corporate governance, risk management and required and voluntary issuer reporting
  • Project management skills and multi-tasking
  • Strong analytical-, creative thinking- and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, often with very tight turnaround times
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended projects
  • Highly resourceful, self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and hunger to learn in an environment where attention to detail is essential
  • Client-service mentality and a "no-job-is-too-small" approach toward execution
  • Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including administrative, strategic, research and partnership-related work

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • At least a year of experience working in investor relations, investment banking, asset management, corporate reporting or stewardship at a financial services firm, or large publicly traded issuer, would be a plus
