Role Description
The Sustainability & Stewardship Office is part of the Platform Sustainability team within the Investment Division. It is responsible for DWS’s stewardship activities and for coordinating sustainability-related initiatives, including disclosures and related communications.
The Stewardship Standards & Processes Team sits within the Sustainability & Stewardship Office and is accountable for DWS’s engagement and proxy voting processes, the development and maintenance of stewardship standards, the enhancement of environmental and social (E&S) standards, and the leadership of E&S engagement activities.
Within the Stewardship Standards & Processes Team, we are seeking a dynamic professional to support the development and operationalization of DWS’s stewardship program. The role combines company analysis across financial and sustainability dimensions with the design and automation of engagement and proxy voting processes, including associated controls.

Your key responsibilities
Actively contributes to the enhancement and maintenance of the DWS Stewardship program and related processes.
Contribute to the design, optimization, and automation of engagement and voting processes, ensuring workflows are scalable, transparent, and aligned with strategic goals.
Help establish and further develop a structured research and analysis process, leveraging available tools (Python, Qlik, AI/LLMs/Power-automate) and both structured and unstructured data for engagement and voting activities.
Coordinate stewardship-related initiatives and projects across multiple teams to support alignment between stewardship, investment, and research activities.
Develop, execute, and automate controls for stewardship activities to support compliance with established standards and expectations.
Your skills and experience
Masters degree in Economics / Finance / Engineering / Mathematics / Data Science or a similar discipline
Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modelling, and automation, with the ability to apply and leverage AI models for process automation
3+ years of experience in company and sector research across both financial and sustainability / ESG dimensions (e.g., business model analysis, financial statement analysis, valuation, and assessment of sustainability risks / opportunities), gained within an investment, research, or related analytical role
Experience in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of operational processes
Strong analytical and methodological thinking, combined with a solution-oriented and proactive approach
Excellent coordination and communication skills to support project delivery and stakeholder alignment across teams
Able to effectively handle multiple tasks and consistently meet strict deadlines
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Skills Required
