About the Role

We are seeking a senior professional with experience in investment oversight and regulatory compliance to take responsibility for the Investment Management function within our UCITS Management Company (ManCo) based in Luxembourg. The role reports directly to the Conducting Officer in charge of Investment Management and plays a critical part in ensuring robust oversight of delegated investment managers, regulatory compliance (including ESG), and the implementation of a strong governance framework, in line with CSSF Circular 18/698.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact and manage the relationship with the delegated Investment Managers.
  • Lead the due diligence process for initial/periodic assessments of investment managers and ongoing monitoring, including analysis of:
    • Governance structures, internal control and implementation of the 3 Lines of defense model.
    • Investment processes, portfolio construction and asset allocation.
    • Capabilities and track record of the investment teams.
    • Performance monitoring and attribution analysis
    • Pre-trade investment compliance controls and operational workflows.
    • Regulatory controls and procedures applied to the investment circuit (Market abuse, best execution, fair allocation, conflicts of interest, related party transactions, etc.
    • Definition and implementation of the ESG framework (integration of sustainability risk into investment processes, control of the effective implementation of sustainability strategies, PAIs management, engagement follow up, etc.
    • Business continuity and operational resilience strategies.
    • Anti-money laundering (AML), with focus in asset screening.
  • Participate in and contribute to internal committees, including Portfolio Management Committee, Voting Committee, Sustainability Committee and Oversight Committee.
  • Support regulatory reporting obligations and interactions with the CSSF, auditors, and board of directors.
  • Work closely with Conducting Officers and internal functions (risk management, compliance, legal, operations).
  • Assist in the development and periodic review of internal procedures and governance documents related to the investment management function.
  • Responsible person for ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and related ESG regulations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in asset management, taking on responsibilities in Investment oversight, Internal Audit, Risk or Compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in due diligence execution, ongoing monitoring, implementing or enhancing internal control frameworks related to investment management.
  • Understanding of investment strategies across asset classes.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg regulatory requirements, including CSSF Circular 18/698, SFDR, and UCITS frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required, (Spanish is a plus)
  • Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration or related field required. Relevant professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, ESG certifications) are a strong plus.
