Investment Banking - EMEA Technology - Vice President

Join our dynamic Investment Banking team as a Vice President within the Technology Group, where you will play a critical role in driving the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions for corporate, financial sponsor, and government clients. Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive strategic advice, capital raising, and risk management expertise to clients across the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution: Lead the end-to-end execution of M&A and capital markets transactions, including preparation of marketing materials, financial analysis, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
- Valuation and Analysis: Oversee deal teams in performing detailed valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, trading and transaction comparables) and merger consequences analyses.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, counterparties, and third-party advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Presentation Preparation: Drive the preparation of materials for client presentations, partnering with industry and country coverage teams to deliver impactful content.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, supervise, and train junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.
- Project Management: Manage multiple workstreams and responsibilities, benefiting from the team's high deal flow and collaborative culture.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, transaction developments, and regulatory changes affecting the technology sector.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience working with technology companies across various subsectors (e.g., software, hardware, internet, fintech, semiconductors).
- Prior investment banking experience at VP level, including significant M&A and/or capital markets transaction experience.
- Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills, with strong overall corporate finance proficiency.
- Expertise in crafting impactful marketing and transaction materials.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and supervise junior team members.
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
