Job Description Summary:
The Public Equities Research Team gathers, analyzes, and disseminates information and opinions on public equity investment funds, supporting decision making by our investment directors and clients. The team is located in Boston, Arlington, London, and Singapore.Investment Associates receive ongoing qualitative and quantitative training and mentorship from research and client facing investment staff. Because deep knowledge and experience are important for maximizing an IA’s time at C|A, we are looking for candidates who are interested in growing with our Research Team for a minimum of 3 years.
Job Description:
Aid senior team members in developing house opinions on Global, Non-US, and Emerging Markets equity managers and markets through ongoing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
Utilize common analytical frameworks and develop unique analyses to assess funds in terms of organization, investment strategy, performance, fund terms, current portfolio positions, and other key attributes.
Conduct portfolio performance analysis, including use of Factset, Bloomberg and/or other in-house and third-party analytical tools.
Help source new ideas and monitor existing strategies by attending and participating in meetings with portfolio managers and other senior personnel.
Complete written research utilized by our clients and directors to support investment decisions. This includes concise commentaries summarizing meetings with fund managers, in depth due diligence reports, and other periodic research, potentially including white papers exploring current topics of interest in the equity markets and fund industry.
Serve as a resource to colleagues seeking current information on investment opportunities, including data and analysis, comparisons across fund managers, and the opinion of the research team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (any major) with a record of achievement.
Strong, demonstrated interest in investments.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and initiative.
Demonstrated command of written communication and strong business writing skills.
Ability and willingness to engage in conversation with internal and external parties, including senior investment managers.
Strong Excel skills preferred. Programming skills a plus.
Ability to work both independently and in a team under tight deadlines.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Progress towards or interest in pursuing CFA designation.
Post-college work experience preferred.

88500In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
