Voice Intern Job Description

Primary Purpose

The Voice Intern will be focusing on helping set up, manage, complete and evaluate projects related to the different departments within the global Voice operations team.

The position will taught the technical skills necessary to work in the various departments.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an aptitude for organization and follow up for the assigned work.

The Voice team regularly works with project managers for other product teams, and will help track and offer advice for improving the projects they are assigned.

This job description is not all-inclusive, but gives a sense of the traits of a successful candidate.

Major Functions

1. Assist the Voice product team with tracking the performance and billing of the caller ID projects.

2. Assist the Voice operations team on assigned projects related to equipment tracking, project development or team development.

3. Aid in the development of drafting documentation for various processes and ordering procedures.

4. Understand and communicate the vision of the projects and assignments they own or support.

5. Help identify needs not met in the market by our current Voice products.

Required Education and Job Skills

Minimum of a high school diploma

History of successful management of progressively growing responsibilities

Able to communicate effectively in writing, and when called upon, to verbally explain what the project objectives are.

Must be able to work well with teams and individuals in a fast paced environment.

Preferred skills

Background working with telecom projects would be helpful but for this position is not essential. We will teach the successful candidate about the technology we use.

They must have an aptitude and desire to learn new things.

Reasonable skills in basic mathematics will be important, and more advanced skills in statistics or analytics would be helpful but not essential

Education or employment experience in product management or project management, or assisting with either of those fields is helpful.

Duration and Hours

This position will be 20-30 hours per week.

Length of internship will be 4-12 months depending upon projects assigned and intern's availability.

Hours and days, as well as location, are flexible. There may be some meetings during the day. Meeting times will be based on when their attendance is needed for a given project.

Location can be remote or combination of remote and on premise in Sandy, UT.
