About the Role

Outlier’s amazing Content Team is responsible for leading the curricular design of courses and creating all non-video instructional materials to ensure a high-quality learning experience, maximum transferability, and accessibility for all students. Interested in working with a world-class ed-tech startup that’s making education more accessible, equitable, and affordable for everyone? If so, Outlier is offering an 8-week, paid internship within our Content department starting June 13, 2022, and ending August 5, 2022.

This is a remote, part-time contract role (up to 30 hours per week).  As an independent contractor, you will need to have your own computer and webcam, and a stable internet connection. 

What You'll Do

We’re looking for a talented Content Intern with an interest in or experience in assisting with the creation and improvement of educational content. You will have a unique opportunity to: 

  • Conduct research on general education college courses
  • Create infographics to support successful educational learning outcomes
  • Learn Outlier's Content Management System (CMS) 
  • Add/update content for live courses and courses in development

Who You Are

  • Undergraduate student
  • Highly motivated and organized 
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think outside the box
  • Strong written/editing and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Self-starter
  • Adobe CS is a plus
