The Role
We’re seeking an Operations Intern to assist and lead key projects designed to improve interactions with operational systems used by the Product and Engineering groups at SimplePractice. You’ll be involved with all aspects of establishing a scalable Product Organization, directly supporting the Sr Operations Manager alongside the VP of Product and SVP of Engineering. This role will be responsible for assisting all operational aspects to support the successful, timely, and in-scope delivery of Operational projects. You will oversee project plans, identify and remove blockers, facilitate effective communications and meetings, and be willing to jump in wherever needed to move things forward.
You’ll also learn how to identify and prioritize operational processes and frameworks to support the needs of the team - with a focus on flexibility, adoption, and alignment with our company culture. You’ll do this by being deeply involved in our company, product, team, market, and very intentional company culture.
To get started, you’ll participate in our company onboarding, Product onboarding and meeting regularly with the Sr Operations Manager to get ramped up. You’ll work closely with all members of the Product group to support their needs through systems, offloading workload, and identifying solutions to inefficient and ineffective workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and meet milestones for our Product organization in close alignment with design and product management stakeholders
- Assist in the coordination between external and internal resources
- Facilitate regular meetings to ensure delivery of work, remove blockers, and maintain alignment
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, and other operational aspects of ensuring projects remain on track
- Identify and track any blockers/dependencies between groups and/or projects and communicate accordingly
- Proactively track work across multiple product squads to ensure alignment and effectively communicate and manage expectations
- Constantly evaluate any change management needs and tailor an approach to support changes
- Facilitate and/or lead various deliverables, go beyond coordinating projects and take the mindset of how to constantly make a project better
Desired Skills & Experience
- Has or in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree from an accredited University
- Strong organization & project management skills
- Proficient in Google or Office 365 - doc, sheets, slides
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Standalone self-starter able to manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
- 1+ year of professional experience in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team; to learn, be mentored, and improve; and, to manage conflict and resolve difficult situations
- Outstanding work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
