The Challenge
When you join GE Appliances as an HR Intern, you will be joining one of the best HR organizations with several decades of experience to assist you with your growth and development as an HR professional.

What you will Do
• Gain exposure to all facets of HR such as Client Support, TA, C&B, HRIS, L&D, etc
• Support a variety of projects and tasks focused on employee engagement and retention
• Support the planning and execution of National Intern Day (and full week!) events
• Develop recruitment marketing materials by project managing a photo shoot, collecting, transcribing, & writing employee testimonials, and then creating a social media campaign
• Create a series of student-focused topics/presentations for use during Campus Recruiting season
• Support onboarding and orientation initiatives for GEA's Co-op/Internship Programs
• Provide support throughout HR on special projects, tasks, and initiatives as needed

What you need to Succeed

Required Qualifications

  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor, or related major
  • Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
  • Able to work up to 40 hrs per week Monday thru Friday during typical business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and familiarities with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; GE Appliances will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
