The Data Teams seek forward-thinking team members who are passionate about delivering a quality product, enjoy working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges, and are excited about building and optimizing new data systems. Interns have the opportunity to partner with business, analytics and engineering teams to design, build and maintain ease for use data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators.

Responsibilities:Responsibilities

• Partner with technical and non-technical colleagues to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Work with engineering teams to collect required data from internal and external systems.
• Develop and maintain dashboards/reports using Tableau and Looker

• Assist in designing, developing and implementing large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data lake and data warehouse.
• Build data pipelines to consume data from various data sources and create a unified/enterprise data model for analytics and reporting.
• Understand the systems and business processes that populate critical systems with data

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience using data-building and statistical programming languages: SAS, Python, R, SQL.
• Experience with data exploration utilizing data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Pandas, ggplot2, Plotly).
• Experience with distributed databases and query languages like Spark and Scala.
• Knowledge in REST APIs
• Ability to successfully collaborate with both business users and engineers for effective analytical solution development and deployment

Required EducationCurrently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student studying Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Math or related field at an accredited college/university and returning to school following the internship.
Additional Information:

• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability

• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2022. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12 week assignment.
