About the Team
Vizio's Internship Program will run for 10 weeks from June 12th-August 18th and requires Interns to be onsite at the assigned location, four days a week for up to 29 hours.
The VIZIO Unified Data Team is looking for a motivated D ata S cien ce I ntern to help deliver strategic initiatives across the organization . We look for people who can effectively partner with p roduct m anagement , engineering, and business leaders to deliver easy, effective, and insightful analytics. We are a growing team, focusing on challenging problems that make a difference to our business. We concentrate on high-impact, high-value development analysis . What You Will Do
- Solve novel and complex business problems with high quality maintainable code.
- Dig deep into high volumes of data to find anomalies and propose solutions to fix them.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide high quality documentation and data visualizations.
About You
- Pursuing a Bachelor's (senior), Master's, or PHD degree in a quantitative field of study.
- Planned graduation date in 2024 or earlier.
- Fluent in Python and SQL.
- High sense of ownership and results driven.
- Solid understanding of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data mining (theory, algorithms, and application) .
- Familiar/curious about modern big data technologies and CI/CD frameworks .
- Holistic thinker, happy working on all things data, not just focused on the mathematical parts.
