Summer Internship Program Overview

Our 12 week Summer Program is designed to provide students a challenging and meaningful internship to gain valuable and hands on experience. All students in the program will be given a project with clear learning objectives and desired outcomes. At the conclusion of the internship, each intern will have the opportunity to present their summer project to leadership. Interns will also have exposure to other areas of 3D Systems to learn about all of our solutions. You will be given the opportunity to network with other interns and colleagues at 3D Systems including our senior leaders.

Bio Software Summer 2022 Intern - San Diego, CA. Location

We are looking Job Summary:

• You will work closely with hardware engineers on motion control systems to ensure the success of a high precision industrial 3d printers
• Contributing to production codebases with GUIs in C/C++, Python, and more; includes documentation, source repository management, and pursuing software engineering best practices
• Design simple, scalable, and robust electro-mechanical solutions such as motor drive systems, electrical controlled pneumatics, physical sensing and acquisition systems
• Prototype and test mechatronic solutions to quantify system performance and sniff out and squash any bugs
• Implement software packages to deploy computer vision algorithms to embedded hardware
• Use computer meaningful data visualization to various teams
• Build software and drivers for the hardware to meet design requirements

What You Will Need

Our preference is for current students who are pursuing a Bachelor's (Junior or Senior standing) or Master's degree in Bachelors or master's in computer science or software engineering

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience in Firmware and Edge computing
• Knowledge of 3D printing technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic environment where you will wear many hats .
