2023 Design Summer Intern
Overview
The Chick-fil-A Design department's primary purpose is to anticipate and create design solutions for the business. Interns will be exposed to a wide variety of tasks over the lifetime of a project. The work will go beyond their design major and could include interior design, research, service design, industrial design and more. Our program is committed to helping interns learn more about design in practice, but we are also hoping to learn as well. We are looking for interns to bring in fresh, bold perspectives and feel it is a fantastic way to keep our design team on a lifelong path of learning as well as the pursuit of a bolder future.
Responsibilities
As an intern, you will be exposed to a design-thinking approach to discover and validate experiences, environments and tools related to our future-thinking projects. Our small team approach allows interns to obtain hands on experience led by our design leads. The design lead role is responsible for not only the creative and strategic direction of a project, but also for the day-to-day management of internal and external teams. Interns will also support the larger design team by being involved on projects in tangible ways. This may include providing strategic and creative input to in-progress projects, participating in imagine and validation sessions and fulfilling specific project-related design deliverables.
